Giving a laugh, Rachel nudged him with her elbow, "You can soak in the glory afterwards. They are waiting for you, not me. All them girls are gonna hate you when they see me up there again," Rach joked, as she followed Luke through the crowd and up to the stage.

Luke laughed as he took her hand and lead Rachel through the large crowd and up onto the stage. leting go of her hand, he walked over to his guitar and grabbed it. then walking to the mic he spoke into it "hello everyone...look im back" he joked laughing slightly "um..you probably remember this girl from before but if your just joining us this girl over here is Rachel..." he smiled looking back at her. "and shes gunna help pick out some songs and maybe...just maybe even sing along or even dance..." he shrugged "we'll see how it goes"

Luke had said nothing about singing and dancing, so when he had explained to the crowd why she was up there, Rachel was having second thoughts. The only way she was going to dance was if he danced, same went with singing, but that was a given seeing as he had already grabbed up his guitar and chosen to stand at in the middle of the stage with the mic in his hand. Rachel standing off to the side more or less.

as Luke backed up and took Rachels hand once again pulling her into the middle he looked into her hazel eyes "so whats the sog choice?" he asked with a grin on his lips. he couldnt tell she was a bit nervous being up there but he knew it would eventually go away and she would be much more comfortable in a few minutes.

Stumbling forward to meet him at the middle of the stage, Rachel had to quickly think of a song that she liked before the crowd grew impatient. With the first thing that came to mind, Rachel leaned in and whispered into Luke's ear the name of the song that she wanted to hear, hoping that he knew it.
"Can you play Over My Head by the Fray?" She pulled back with a questioning look on her face, before turning to face the crowd.

as he leaned in towards her a little, Luke heard the title she asked for. it happened to be one of Luke's favourite songs so of course he knew ow to play it. listening to that song over and over again made it easy for Luke to pick up on the notes being used.
"alright everyone...how does Over My Head sound?" he asked them. screaming and yelling like they had before Luke laughed "well alright...here goes..." as he began to play and looked over at Rachel "your helping me sing this song i hope you know that" he laughed as he begun...
I never knew I never knew that everything was falling through That everyone I knew was waiting on a cue To turn and run when all I needed was the truth But that's how it's got to be It's coming down to nothing more than apathy I'd rather run the other way than stay and see The smoke and who's still standing when it clears
Everyone knows I'm in Over my head With eight seconds left in overtime She's on your mind
Let's rearrange I wish you were a stranger I could disengage Say that we agree and then never change Soften a bit until we all just get along But that's disregard Find another friend and you discard As you lose the argument in a cable car Hanging above as the canyon comes between
Everyone knows I'm in Over my head With eight seconds left in overtime She's on your mind
And suddenly I become a part of your past I'm becoming the part that don't last I'm losing you and its effortless Without a sound we lose sight of the ground In the throw around Never thought that you wanted to bring it down I won't let it go down till we torch it ourselves
Everyone knows I'm in Over my head With eight seconds left in overtime She's on your mind

The girl standing before Luke couldn't sing even if her life depended on it, so thats exactly what she mouthed to him as he began singing another of her favorite songs. If she had thought to mention it earlier, he would have had fair warning, but now she really had no choice. But before long, her lips had begun to move to mouth the words of the song. She knew every word off by heart so it wasn't at all surprising that she wouldnt sing it in the first place.

Before she could get into the song completely, the song came to an end and once again everyone stopped to cheer at the sound of his voice. Giving a smile, Rachel knew he couldn't have been totally crushed over the idea of having cancer. Singing seemed to give him that limlight. The one thing that most people would kill to have once in their life.
Without hesitation, Rachel nodded her head at his question, "Of course..." Her smile brightened. She was having fun to be completely honest. For once she felt like she could let totally loose without the pressure of having people give you their opinions. Luke obviously didnt care and was pushing her to have a good time in a way but it didnt bother her in the least.

without the thought of music in his life...Luke would be nothing. he definitely wouldnt be strong or have the positive atittude he did for the world around him. it was hard for Luke to let go of somethings in his life, like his brother and his mother...but having cancer just made it all the more worse then it had to be. so reaching out, he found music and ever since thats been his passion.
"cool..." he nodded as he spoke to herputing the mic by his side. with the sound of her voice, there was something Luke knew all too well. Rachel was having fun. the idea of coming up on a stage intfront of at least a hundred people was something that sounded hopeless to most but for Luke it was an adventure, a way to show the world that he's living life to the fullest and not holding back. as he glanced into the eyes of the hot blonde standing next to him a playful smile came across his face. without even saying the title of the next song Luke began to play and eventually his voice caught on...
This is morning That's when I spend the most time Thinking 'bout what I've given up This is a warning When you start the day just to close the curtains You're thinking 'bout what I've given up
Where are you now? As I'm swimming through the stereo I'm writing you a symphony of sound Where are you now? As I rearrange the songs again This mix could burn a hole in anyone But it was you I was thinking of
I read your letter The one you left when you broke into my house Retracing every step you made And you said you meant it And there's a piece of me in every single Second of every single day But if it's true then tell me how it got this way
Where are you now? As I'm swimming through the stereo I'm writing you a symphony of sound Where are you now? As I rearrange the songs again This mix could burn a hole in anyone But it was you I was thinking of
And I can't get to you I can't get to you I can't get to you
Where are you now? As I'm swimming through the stereo I conduct a symphony of sound Where are you now? As I'm cutting through you track by track I swear to God this mix could sink the sun But it was you I was thinking of
And where are you now? And where are you now?
And this is my mixed tape for her It's like I wrote every note With my own fingers

(you really gotta stop picking songs that I like lol Cuz now im singing that one to myself. Jack's Mannequin + Steph= loooove lol jk)
The song Luke had chosen next was a familiar one but not one she knew all the Word s too, she could sing pieces at a time, but trying to sing all of it along with him became hopeless after the first few verses.
So rather than embarassing herself further than she already had, Rachel put on a smile, stepping off to the side as her eyes landed upon Luke and then the crowd beyond and in front of him. There was not a bored face in the place, and not a soul that wasn't moving. Whether the song was a slow one or a fast paced one, each and every body on the floor had found a way to dance to it. The club was packed to say the least. The dance floor was jammed the bar stools had all been taken up as soon as they vacated and there were still people standing in line at the door as the night went on.
Turning her eyes to look at the boy singing at the front, everything seemed to be drownrf out by the sound of his voice. How someone could get up in front of a large group of people, and act so carefree without a stiff nerve in their body, was a skill Rachel would soon have to learn. Luke had drawn her in, and she refused to pull back. There was that charm about him, those pursuasive actions, and that upbeat attitude he possessed that had hooked her and drawn her in. Now all she had to do was get passed that hard outter shell of hers.
Just as these thoughts were pushed to the back of her mind, the roaring cheers of people on the floor, burst like firecrackers in her ears. Luke had obviously finished the song, forcing Rachel to go along. Lifting her hands from her sides, Rachel brought them together into a cannon of claps. Letting out the odd yelp to cheer him on as others were.

Luke bowed to the audience they came and went. it was absolutely incridible to witness everyone singing, dancing and partying all because of Luke. he had taking the club by storm, with his raspy sounding voice and his crazy moves onstage. jumping and spinning around as he played. it was a sight no one dared to miss.
as the song came to an end Luke was getting hot from moving and being under the lights. he put his guitar on the stage, took a glup of the water bottle left for him, and turned around so his back was to the audience. pulling off his hoodie, it lifted the shirt he had underneath, revealing the rim of Luke's boxers. not really caring but hearing the girls scream louder he laughed and threw his hoodie to one side then turned around grabbign the mic "no im not goign to strip..." he laughed looking at them all. "alright...so now that we're all comfortable, lets stay we go for a slow song now huh? what do you all say? slow dancing anyone?" he asked picking up his guitar.
turning to look at the girl he couldnt get out of his mind, he smiled asn wavd her over to him. once over he whispered into her ear "any song you want thats slow?" he asked then pulled away as he looked into the hazel eyes of a beautiful blonde bombshell that stood only a foot from him.

Her friend had mentioned that she would be picking a few songs to be sung, but Rachel haden't had any in mind, they had just kinda of come to her. When he asked for a slow song, she had her work cut out for her...In 30 seconds? The crowd wasn't going to wait all night, so quickly, she thought of the first song that came to mind. Looking around at the crowd before taking the few steps towards Luke, John Mayer came to mind. She didn't know many Crystal Falls folks that were fans but she hoped they would at least enjoy the song seeing as it was the only one that came to mind.
Giving him the name 'Gravity,' she also hoped the senior knew what she was talking about.

hearing the song choice, Luke had to take another glup of water as he remembered the chords to play. moving his fingers infront of the strings as if to play he finally remembered then began..
Gravity is working against me And gravity wants to bring me down
Oh I'll never know what makes this man With all the love that his heart can stand Dream of ways to throw it all away
Oh Gravity is working against me And gravity wants to bring me down
Oh twice as much aint twice as good And can't sustain like a one half could It's wanting more That's gonna send me to my knees [repeat]
Oh gravity, stay the hell away from me And gravity has taken better men than me (Now how can that be?)
Just keep me where the light is Just keep me where the light is Keep you all where the light is Just keep us where the light is Ohh.. where the light is! [repeat]
as another song came to an end, he looked out into the crowd to find most couples on the floor slow dancing. he smirked to himself then looked at Rachel as he dropped the mic to his side "looks like your sng choices are hits" giving a cheeky grin her way. raising the mic to his lips he spoke "alright everyone thats it for me...time to get my buddy Steve up here...and the night will continue on with him. hope you enjoyed yourself i sure did" he nodded "oodnight!" giving the rock on sign with his hand on last time he before he took a bow then pointed to Rachel "and thank the girl that made the song choices for the night Rachel Stone" Luke began to clap just like the crowd was doing.

Watching everyone grab a partner as Luke's voice echoed through the mic, Rachel would have been on that floor in an instant if it wasn't for the trance she was in just watching everyone and listening to Luke sing. It was so simple to get caught up in the moment at the club. Listening to every word being said into the mic, watching every movement, plus if Rachel was to dance with anyone at that moment, she wanted it to be Luke, not some guy that just happened to be looking for a good time.
When the last song had ended, and the crowd let out their applause for Luke and then...Her? Rachel couldn't help but give a small smile and a wave as she took small steps towards the stairs leading off the stage. Looking to Luke, she took her thumb and pointed over her shoulder as if to let him know she'd be off the stage waiting for him.
