At this point, Rachel would have taken anything. Another chance, a date, a trip to the moon...Anything to get her mind off the ache in her heart. But even so, Luke was the one to do that, despite his actions. That obviously meant something. She wanted things the way they were. She wanted Luke to look at her the way he had that night at the beach, she wanted him to tell her he loved her more than anything. She wanted him to kiss her in the rain like he had that afternoon at her house, but most of all, she wanted him to believe exactly what she was trying so desperatly to. That everything would be ok.
"I love you..." Came those three simple, yet meaningful words from Rae's lips, ever so quietly that he probably haden't heard her. That night at the beach had defined every bit of their relationship, minus the little bumps in the road. He'd said the same three words to her, without warning I might add, but she'd never had the chance to say them back. It may not have been the right time nor the right place, but if it even made the slightest difference, it was sure to have some sort of impact.

shock.stunned. all feelings that Luke had when he heard those 3 words. everything in him stopped. his heart had skipped a beat, his breath was taken and his mind captured by the 3 words he had uttered to her on the beach one night. what was he to say or do after hearing those words. he hadnt ever heard them from anyone besides family, but then they never meant as much to Luke as this time did.
with a soft smile glowing from his lips Luke looked deep into the eyes of his now girlfriend and said "...i love you too. with all my heart. everythings going to be ok now..." he leaned forward gently kissing her lips for a moment

Rae barely had time to respond with an 'i dont kno what your talking about' look, before she felt his lips on hers. What was it about cheating that made it ever so easy to make up? This wasn't how it normally worked did it? A guy didn't just go sleep with your best friend and then instantly make you feel on top of the world afterwards....Right? No...But not all things that were seemingly impossible, were.
You have no idea what you do to me... thought Rae as sparks shot through her body, with the kiss. It was so hard not to kiss him back as passionatly as they had kissed at the beach. She didn't want to seem hypocritical for not talking to him one week than being all over him the next, that would make her just as bad as he was...Or not...
Feeling their lips part, it was something Rae wished she could fix. It wouldn't hurt to kiss him back would it? After all...Everything was going to be ok like he said...So with that decided, Rachel did exactly as he heart and mind had agreed on. Stepping up on her toes, she pressed her lips back on his for an instant, hopeing to god that he wouldn't say anything to ruin the feelings she had running inside her.

with surprise from her reaction to his kiss, Luke pulled away only to find out that moments later she would plant yet another kiss on his lips. eyes closed, eyebrows raised Luke was shocked that she had done it but slowly calmed himself as he grew deeper into the kiss. was he getting mixed messages from the blonde? no maybe he was just reading her wrong or something. pulling away for a moment to catch his breath Luke smiled "that...was awesome"

"That...Was awesome." Definatly had to be a good sign. If he understood exactly how she felt about him, minus the hard feelings, perhaps he wouldn't have acted so shocked when she returned the favor and planted a kiss of her own on his lips. God I hope theres no 'charming third time'... thought Rae as she pulled away from him slowely. If this happened again, she doubted it would be just as easy to 'kiss and make up.'
A small smile forming on the corners of her lips, she wondered what more he had to say. He'd said it all in the last few words he'd let slip from his lips, could it possibly get any better?

as the petite girl stepped back from his grasp Luke was left there still looking into her eyes. what more could he say? he had already said mostly everything that meant something unless...maybe there was something that she wouldnt expect him to say. after breaking her heart Luke had time to look of his past mistakes and try to make them right. in the end he succeeded.
looking at her Luke began "since that day in detention when i saw you walk away one last time...i honestly thought id never see you again yet alone talk to you or kiss you. since our break up its given me time to think...think everything over step by step. Rach, when i say i want to be with you i mean it. my heart broke when those doors closed behind you...i didnt want to lose you because...if it werent for you. i wouldnt be who i am today, how i act, how i feel...its because of you..everything i do is because of you....i love you"

He'd done it. If she thought it had been hard to think of something to say before, she had been mistaken. With his little speech ringing over and over in her ears, Rae stood their, completely still, staring right back at him, trying oh so desperatly to think of a reply. Nothing could could compete with what he said, not one single word. Nevermind that, no one could compete with Luke...Not even Craig.
Instinctivly, and rather surprisingly, the only thing Rach's mind could pull her to do, was bring back the kiss they'd shared at the beach. The same kiss that sent sparks shooting up her spin and made her world spin, and thats exactly what she did. Tossing both her arms around Luke's neck, as she pulled him in, Rach planted her lips onto Luke's once more, kissing him as passionatly as a few weeks before.

looking at her expression after what he had said to her, Luke spoke "everythin-" only to be interupted by a passionate kiss which brought him back in time to when they laid on the beach together. nothing could explain their chemistry, other then each others actions and this was one of those actions.
with eyes closed instinctively, Luke leaned forward deepening the kiss than wrapped his arms around the girls waist only to lift her in the air and spin around. it was an amazing feeling to have. it had brought back the memories from the beach and their kiss in the rain

Normally, the expression 'swept off your feet' was only an expression, a way to describe how you felt, but what had once only been words had been turned into actions as Luke, surprised by her actions, 'swept' Rachel 'off her feet' literally.
Tightening her grip around his neck, so she didn't end up flying out of his, Rach felt like a bird. Whether it was the wrong place and the wrong time to be sharing such a kiss, didn't matter much to her. People could look at them and feel jealousy if they wanted to, but if they had a problem with PDA...Well that didn't really matter either. All that mattered now was this moment. A new beginning.

after spinning several times around, Luke gently let her feet hit the ground. he did this only because he was happy for what was happening between the two of them. it was still a shock to him. his mind was still being blown away by the thought that the girl that he loved was in his arms kissing him again. something most guys dreamed about, Luke was able to witness and be apart of.

Feeling her feet touch the ground just barely, before she caught her balance from the spin, Rachel kept her lips on Luke's for a moment longer before easing her grip around him and breaking away for a breather. As she pulled back, her eyes stayed closed for a moment, as she took it all in, only to seconds later open up and lay themselves upon the boy in front of her. Parting her lips to take in a breath, Rachel stood there looking at him, "I..Im sorry, you just...You take my breath away..." She said honestly, but with a small smile.

as he took a breather as well, Luke licked his lips slightly as he focused in on her hazel eyes. hearing what she had said to him and knowing she was being totally honest, Luke wanted to do the same. "its alright....cause you keep me going...i live for you Rach"

Did the boy really have cancer? Or was he telling the truth? Did Luke really live for Rach, after all, it was a strong statement, just like those three words anyone loved to here. Shaking off the thought, she pursed her lips together and smiled. With a shrug she opened her mouth to say something, "At least im doin something right..." She muttered, "Can we go somewhere? Standing in one spot is killing me." She said with a slight laugh.

he saw her expression change slightly as he spoke, was she thinking of something? maybe of what he had just said to her? Luke didnt want to push anything out of her so he just nodded to her comment then gave his answer to the question asked "umm ya...where do you wanna go?" he questioned back to the blonde with a little laugh as he put his arm around her shoulders

"Anywhere...Your choice. I dont care," She said quickly, just wishing to move her feet. Rae was never one to stay in one place for long periods of time unless she had a great reason too. As long as Luke was at her side, she'd go anywhere with just the word.
