It was just how she had hoped it to be, the sun was just started to set, and she was in a fairly nice dark blue top and dark blue jeans, she did have some stuff that wasn't as nice under it though. This was what she wanted, just a simple date where they could just talk, and all of that like before, but they could also figure out how it would work. There was one thing that she knew though, their friendship would never change, even when the time got to the roughest. These thoughts pasted through her head as she looked at the sun setting in the sky, a smile clearly placed.
She was sitting on a towel, her usual notebook, pencil, and pen by her side as they could always be found. That day she made her hair look a little fancier, but she didn't over do it knowing the way she was around Craig. The sunset was amazing by sight, the oranges, reds, and yellows streaked the sky, no artist could capture that sunset no matter how hard they tried. This was her chance, and she wasn't going to back down now, she had to do what she felt was right, and try something different and new.

The evening was pleasant, not to warm but not to cold either. Just a slight breeze. The tall blonde was dressed in a pair of grey faded jeans and a grey t-shirt. Craig had settled on walking to the marina, for his date with Essie. Not just for the weather, but so he could clear his head or well, try and figure out where al this could lead too. It had all been on a spurr of the moment thing, a simple email and he had said yes.
He had to give her a chance right?
With his hands resting in his pocket's, he walked towards Essie and smiled at her. Then Craig planted himself next to her, stretching his leg's out and leaning on his arm's. He noticed that Essie was her usual self, the notebook and pen's. Well exceshe looked slightly more feminine than usual. "Hey Es..."

For sometime she kept her gaze on the sunset until she heard a voice that she knew very well... Craig Scott. She felt her heart skip a beat, but didn't let it show in her expression, giving him the face that she knew her as, the Essie Anderson he knew. "Hey Craig..." A smile came on to her lips, one that seemed to be soft and sweet to her at least.
"How have things been going? It's been rough for Rachel, Luke, and Haley, I don't really know about what's going on with Jeremy though." Her gaze moved to his eyes, wondering what he would think before she messed with him, pretending she had a watch. "Your about... ten minutes late for your date mister! What do you have to say for yourself?" As always, she was kidding, since she had gotten there not too long ago herself.

((Sorrie Les, totally left my mind!))
Atleast thing's were like they normally were, casual and relaxed. Well slightly, just slightly, more tense than usual. But that was expected really wasn't it? "Thing's with me, have been quite broing really. I've just sat back and watched everything unfold around me really." He replied, his gaze distant .
"Whereas it seems the rest of Crystal Fall's inhabbitants are up to their necks in drama. Rachel...Luke and Haley? Rem..? God I havn't even spoken to him lately, I guess he's in some detention thing again whewr he's isolated. It would shock me. How have your day's been?"
He laughed lightly about her comment. "Late? You know this is actually quite early miss.Anderson. I am Craig Scott remember?" He winked at her playfully, Craig was late for prettymuch anything... no concept of time as his mother would say!

As she heard what her best friend had to say, she gave him a casual nod, glad to hear that things seemed to be like they usually were for Craig at least. It seemed that they were able to make the thing a whole lot less tense by talking about the everyday events of their friends and of Crystal Falls. "That is the same for me, I just hear about what is going on, I'm not really in it."
"Well, let's all just hope that things work out in the end for all of us, even if this time is really hard for them to overcome. They are all my friends, and all I want for them is do have those happy moments that aren't drowned by the drama."
She continued to smirk as he replied about him not being late. "Well, we will know that you can't be anywhere without being at least a couple minutes late, or you are down with something." Laughing slightly, she thought she would explain why they were at the Marina of all places. "I decided to have the date here since I just come down here to watch the sunset, and I stay up to watch the stars until my parents call."
((It's ok, I understand C))

Craig had sort of been dragged into it all, used as a walking advice machene really. Rachel and Haley had come to him, each with two different stories. What was Craig supposed to do? He couldn't just pick a side now could he? He wasn't really expecting Luke to come talk to him or anything, the two had been a lot more distant lately. proberly ebcause Luke was dating Rachel.
Craig nodded in agreement. "It seems that you and I are the only sane one's around here!" He laughed lightly. "God, what has Crystal Fall's come too?" Craig and Essie were weird, in a good way of course. The crazy one's, up for anything really! But lately, they had been the rash responsible one's.
"You know, I've never actually bothered to watch the sunset. But it does look really nice, I must admit!" He replied, his eyes gazing at the setting sun, picking out the assortment of colours.

Essie herself only knew one side of the story, and she would rather stay out of it right then, and never have to get into it anymore than she had. All she was doing was checking on her friends to see what was going on, and she had found out, so there was no more need to get involved. She was actually using her head.
"I don't know for sure Craig, but everything is twisting and turning around us!" She gave him a slight grin, as she thought about the fact that they were probably the two weirdest people in all of Crystal Falls, not that she minded or anything like that. "I'm sort of glad that I don't have to pick a side or anything, I don't really want to get involved."
"It's great, it helps you relax, the stars help even more when they come out. It makes all your problems seem so small, that they don't matter anymore for awhile." It wasn't only calming, it was slightly romantic, at least to her it was, maybe she was completely off about it, but it did feel that way.

Atleast one good thing had become of all of that mess. Everybody seemed to have stopped pointing and whispering about Haley and his break-up. He was sick of Freshmen girl's, he didn't evebn know coming up and randomly talking to him. It seemed they were all more interested in Rachel, Luke and still Haley.
Craig nodded in agreement. "It's kinda hard, because both Rachel and Haley have talked to me about it and are like what do I do? But, I don't always have the answers!" He smiled at her brightly.

At this, she had to nod in agreement, it was getting pretty hard for the two friends to know what was the right thing to do in a situation like Craig was getting into. It was never easy to have your good friends fighting, and you had to be the one in the middle, just because you were the one they depended on. She would try to be there for Craig though, even when the times got rough. "I'll try to back you up as much as I can." With this, her smile got a little bit wider than it had been before.
After she spoke, she let the sound of her voice fade, just gazing at the sunset, thinking about how great it was of her to choose this spot on this night. It was a way of showing Craig a new world that he didn't know about, even though he did know a lot about her, probably more than any other person would ever know. For a moment, it felt so prefect just to give him a kiss on the cheek, just one. That was what she did, then blushed as she looked at him, waiting for him to respond to it.
