Craig didn't want to leave, boy he didn't. Even being around Rachel made him feel good, just the faint smeel or knowing she was around lightened his spirt. He didn't mind that she didn't feel the same way, for once he was accepting it. It was a strange new feeling for him, he hadn't been single in two years. There was so much you could do when you were single, so why was Craig chasing after girl's that weren't interested?
[Why didn't he just go out clubbing and hook up with the first girl he saw? Because she wasn't Rachel. That was it simply, how ever much Craig tried to put her at the back of his mind he couldn't. He couldn't stop thinking about her, every second he wasn't with her, he wanted to be. It was quite creepy really.
Placing his hands in his pocket's, he looked down at the cute blonde. "Uhh Rach? You know what I told you the oth..." He paused and shook his head, it wasn't the right time. Not yet, her wounds were still sore from the whole Luke thing. "Don't worry actually. Well bye.."

Rachel had had her heart broken more than once in the past four years. Sure she'd never felt what love felt like, and at the rate she was going, she wasn't sure she wanted to. At least not now. Luke had told her he loved her, but how could you believe something a guy said about love when he slept with your best friend? You couldn't. Or at least she didn't think she could. Desperate was a strong word for how Rachel felt, but if you put the rumors going around, the way she was acting, and everything else in context, thats how it came out. Desperate.
Not desperate to be loved, or to have some lousy guy by her side, but desperate to be noticed. Luke noticed her, but he took it to his advantage. Craig on the other hand, noticed her for her. Not once had he taken advantage of her feelings. Who you thought was the perfect guy, turned out to be the furthest from one when you thought about it.
The feelings she had for either guy, would stay. That was a given. When they mentioned 'that little something that would always be there,' it was true. There'd always be that little something, but that was because there had been a connection. What Luke had done to her, after accusing her of all the rumors he had heard, in her eyes, it was unforgivable. He knew she had been hurt before, and yet he had decided to add to the list or pains.
Hearing the word 'bye' come from Craig's lips, was the last thing Rachel wanted to hear. For the first time in weeks, she had actually truly smiled as he sat next to her and talked to her. Bringing up what he had said to her the other night probably wasn't the best thing to talk about at the moment, but if it got him to stay...What could it hurt?
Jumping off the couch, she moved to stand in front of him, "What about the other night?" She questioned.

The last thing he had expected her to do was question him about the other night, sure he'd just brought it up himself but he'd quickly regretted it. Straing at her face to face he was speechless, it seemed the bye he had just uttered was long forgotten.
So therethe blonde was stood, gawping like a stupid goldfish. "I dunno..." Was all he could muster up, as his eye sight trailed to the carpet below the pair and Rachel's toenail's painted an extrodinary color. Then he looked her in the eyes, and carried on talking as if to himself.
"I guess I was just gonna say I don't regret was I said. I don't regret not telling you how I feel because in the end, it wouldn't have made a difference." Then he took a step back and turned around to leave, cursing beneathe his breath as he started to leave... Fool.

Fool... thought Rachel about herself. How could you bring it up? It was obvious he didn't want to talk about it when he said 'bye!' Now hes leaving yet again! People always left. They did. Craig and Rachel had left eachother years ago, and it was happening again. Rachel had left Luke. For a damn good reason at that. And Rachel had left Haley...Ok...So maybe it was 'Rachel always left.' Not the other way around. But it was situations such as these where she was stuck at a crossroads.
Standing in place like a stone statue, she let him walk past her. Just like that...Maybe it was for the best?
Swallowing after hearing what he had to say, she turned around to watch him leave, "B...Bye..." Why couldn't she make up her mind? Because in a way, her heart belonged to two people. Two people she cared more about then herself. She wanted each of them to have a piece of her heart, but she knew it wasn't possible.

Craig reached the banister where his hoodie ws hung when he heard her say bye. His eye side was still quite low as he placced his ahnds on top of the banister and leant on them. I Love you.. Craig muttered beneathe his breath, of course he didn't want to leave but what was he supposed to say after that?
Taking his hoodie of the banister he slipped his scrawny arms into the sleeves and zipped the hoodie up over his green t-shirt. Then bent down to do the velcro up on his trainer's. But he still couldn't help but steal a glance at her. He wanted to walk over to her and hug her, tell her everything would be fine and she didn't need Luke to make her happy. He wanted her to need him.

"Craig..." Rachel blurrted out without even thinking. Great...Now what? Just leave it Rach, your not helping yourself..."I'm sorry I couldn't be the girl for you..." Now you've done it. How you gonna get yourself out of this one?
Though her tone sounded like she knew what she was talking about, there was still a hint of vullnerablility. "I just...Im so confused right now. And I need someone to look to. Someone who knows what they want. Someone who knows what they are doing...Your that person Craig." Right then, she'd taken over. Her conscience couldn't even stop her. With her gaze directed to the floor she fiddled with her fingers, and without warning, ran over to Craig and hugged him. Unexpected...I'd say so.

Hearing his name, Craig looked up naturally to Rachel and was not expecting what came out next. I need someone to look to. Someone who knows what they want. Someone who knows what they are doing...Your that person Craig. How was he that person? Sure he knew sort of what he wanted, Rachel! But what he was doing to get her was another story? Nothing because he really didn't know how.
Then he felt her in his arm's, exactly where he wanted to be and he wrapped his arms around her silently. Not actually sure what he was supposed to say to her sudden outburst. Then he just spoke the first thing that came to his mind. "I'll be whoever you need me to be..."

Standing there, though unsure why, Rachel kept her arms around Craig, hugging him. Anyone would have said she was better off alone, hell she even agreed with it. Because in the end, even if the guy she was with, was the one to hurt her, she ended up hurting them in the end as well. Why? Because she couldn't make up her mind. She was trying so hard to make up her mind right now.
She'd said what she needed to. Now what?
"Craig Scott..." She muttered into his shoulder, referring to the conversation they had had earlier, about always being the same person they saw eachother as.

"Rachel Stone..." He replied back simply, still holding the girl in his arm's. He was resisting the tempatation to just kiss her ight there and then, but that could ruin an amazing day or just make thing's even better. Craig was battling whether to risk it or not.
"I'll be Craig Scott, If you promise to be Rachel Stone." He asked her, biting down on his lower lip so hard it actually hurt and digging his heel's into the floor. Craig wasn't gonna do anything stupid...hopefully.

As a tiny, muffled laugh escaped her lips, Rachel replied, "Its not too late for that?" She asked stupidly, knowing fair well that the Rachel people had heard about in the last few weeks, wasn't the Rachel she knew herself to be, "I promise Craig." She added quickly, hugging him for a minute longer, than placing herself back on the flats of her feet, her gaze moving to look up at the blonde haired blue eyed boy standing only inches in front of her.

Then the two were just staring at one another silently, and he couldn't stop himself. He felt himself move forward and press his lips against her's softly. Then he quickly drew back as he realised what he was doing. "Oh God, Rach Im sorry... i shouldn't have..." Then he shut his mouth, he'd said to much crap already.

Within seconds of standing on her own two feet again, the blonde haired senior barely had time to react before she felt that blonde haired, blue eyed boy's lips plant themselves on hers. Rachel was in too much shock to push Craig away, or pull him closer...Again she couldn't make up her mind.
Standing in complete silence, her eyes wide, Rachel pursed her lips together, and looked up at Craig as if looking for some sort of explination. As if she needed one...

Craig urged his leg's to move, run away from rachel her house and just go home eat some ice-cream. But he couldn't, something was willing him to stay there and find out exactly where he stood with her.
Her eyes looked up at him, confused and lost. He truthfully didn't know what to say back to them. "Im sorry Rachel, i shouldn't have done that. i know what your going through and I just made it worst!" He was rabiting on like an idiot, but he just couldn't stop himself.

"I...It's fine..." Rachel said in a husky voice as she dropped her gaze from Craig's eyes. She couldn't look at him. Why? He just kissed her, and technically, Rae was still dating Luke. Sure they haden't talked in a few days, and she really didn't want to, but if she jumped up and kissed Craig like she was tempted too, it would make her a hypocrite as well as just as bad as Luke. There was no way she could do that to him or herself...Or Craig.
"I can't..I can't do this Craig. I want to, but I can't. I can't hurt you. And if I were to kiss you back...like...Like im so tempted to right now, it would make me just as bad as Luke and it would break the promise I just made to you," she rambled on, her hands moving here and there in gesture to what she was saying.

Craig nodded, understanding where she was coming from. He felt pretty harsh too, Luke was his friend after all and he was just making Rachel's situation worse for her. "I understand Rachel..."
The corners of his lip's curved up faintly, s he tried to smile as best he could. "I'll go if it make's things easier for yourself."
