Jesse grabbed her purse from the back seat and got out of her car to head into the mall. As she entered the mall she looked around at all the stores they had. "Wow they have better stores than the malls in New York, I think I'm going to like this place." Her first stop on her shopping spree was to hit a shoe store, as she looked around she saw a shoe store that looked like they had her taste. With a big smile on her face she entered the store and instantly saw a pair of knee length high heel shoes that she had to have. Jesse picked up those pair then saw a pair of pink sandals that would look perfect on her feet. She looked around the store for a little while longer then decided that she would just buy the two she had and call it a day in this store.
Jesse exited the shoe store and walked right into a jewelry store. She figured it was time to stock up on her jewelry. She saw a beautiful heart necklace with pink diamonds with earrings and a bracelet to match. As soon as she saw that pair she fell in love. Jesse bought those items then walked into a clothing store to find some new clothes. Since she had lost a little weight over the last month, Jesse figured that it was time to upload her wardrobe. Jesse walked into the store and checked her bags. After she checked her bags she saw the most hottest mini skirt alive. It was a jean mini skirt with ruffles around the bottom, she smiled because she knew they would go perfect with her new shoes. Next she had to find the perfect shirt to match her skirt and shoes so she wouldn't look like a hippie. As she walked down the various isles she saw a pink shirt that said "Jealous Ones Envy", this made her even more happier because that was her favorite saying. Jesse picked up the shirt and continued throughout the store.

Having been friends with Beth for the past few years, you learnt that shopping could probably fix anything. If you were down in the dumps you would go shopping. Buy yourself something nice. If you were grouchy and didn't feel like talking to anyone, you didnt have to. You went shopping to put that smile back on your face. If you were stuck in the middle of four friends, one being your boyfriend, two being your ex's and one being your best friend....Well, you went shopping. And thats exactly what Rachel had decided to do after having left school in the middle of her class. It wasn't considered one of her normal daily activities but if you didn't find her at the cafe, home, or the rivercourts, the mall was the last place you'd look.
Dressed in a pair of black capris, orange flip flops and an orange tank top, Rachel left the house on high hopes of getting everything off her mind with the use of her credit card. Sure she wasn't a big spender, nor did she buy things for herself all the time, but today and every other day this week just seemed one of those days that she needed to be. What with Haley at her throat at just about everything these days, her relationship with Luke on the line and the thought of having to tell Craig all of this, Rachel haden't been in high hopes of anything lately.
Entering the mall with her purse slung over her shoulder, and her sunglasses on her head, Rachel headed off to her favorite stores in order to find the things she didn't neccessarily need. HItting the shoe shop first, she found nothing of interest in there except for a pair of shoes she already owned. Moving to the store next to it, she found a few tops she liked, but held off of buying them. It seemed that everything she found she liked, she couldn't buy. The guilt would kill her later on. Buying things for the sake of her own happiness? It just wasnt the way to go.
Finding herself in a small shop on the top floor of the mall, Rae browsed through the many cheap jewels and skirts they had, again finding little to nothing that interested her. As she grabbed a top off one of the racks and headed to the change rooms in order to try it on for kicks, she ran into someone who little did she know, had been into the exact same stores she had been in earlier.

Jesse was about to go into the changing room to try on her shirt and her mini skirt when she noticed another girl heading to the room also. If she was her old self she would have just cut in front of her and said oh well, but it was something about the day that made her want to be nice, and besides she needed some friends in this town. "You can go first I only want to try on two things." Jesse stepped aside and started to look at some more shirts while the girl would be trying on her things. Yes it was true that Jesse needed some friends in this town, so she figured that maybe being nice for a change would get her some, besides she already made on enemy at the 7"11.
Waiting for the girl to finish up, Jesse decided to look at some more clothes. She walked over to the jeans isle and picked up a pair of hip hugger jeans that were faded with rip on the knee and the pocket. Jesse figured that she was in luck because those were her favorite type of jeans and to score them at a low price was even better. Now she sought off to find a shirt to match those jeans. She passed by the tops and saw an interesting faded jean jacket that would go perfect with her jeans, now all she had to do was find the perfect shirt and she would have two awesome outfits. Since Jesse's idol was Paris, she looked for a white shirt that would say "That's Hott" but to no luck she didn't find one, so she simply settled on a white shirt that fit snug.

Tops in hand, Rachel stepped back for a moment, to study the girl waiting next to her in line for the change rooms. Something about her seemed familiar. She was younger than the Stone girl for sure, for her features were young, yet mighty sophisticated. She had to be at least a sophmore. Giving a faint smile, not much in the mood to talk, Rachel gave a nod her way, and a quiet 'thanks' for letting her use the change room first.
Moving up in the line till she was at the front, one of the cashiers took her clothes and lead her to a small change room located at the back of the store. Within minutes, she had tried on the two tops she had picked out, finding that only one of them suited her. Rae may not have been much of a shopper, but she had enough brains to figure out that you didn't buy something that didnt suit you. Green just wasnt her color.
Removing herself from the changeroom, while hanging up the top she didnt want on the exchange rack, she made her way out back into the store to look for something else. Spotting the girl she had seen earlier, Rachel couldn't resist but go over and say hi. After all, she had been nice enough to let her move up in the line. It was the least she could do.
"I've seen you somewhere before..." She said simply, looking at a pair of jeans on the rack across from the brunette, "You don't go to Crystal Falls Academy by any chance do you?" It was a simple yes or no question requiring little thought, but she hoped she could get more out of her than just a 'yes' Rachel was in desperat need to talk to someone who didn't seem to know anything about her. Either that or someone who haden't heard about the dating rumors between Craig, Luke, Jeremy and her.

Jesse saw the girl approaching her and by the looks on her face, it looks like she was about to say something. Jesse put down the horrid looking purple top she had picked up to look at. "Yeah I think I've seen you somewhere before as well." Jesse took a harder glance at the girl and finally remembered where she knew her from since the girl brought up the high school. "Yeah I do go there as a matter of fact, but I'm only a sophomore. My name is Jesse Hilton, what's yours?" Jesse looked at her watch and noticed it was still early, not nearly an hour had passed yet, it was weird because Jesse usually spent at least one to two hours in the mall, but time seem to run particular slow today.
"It is just me......or is the time running kind of slow here? My clock says it's 5:48pm, but my body feels like it's 7 or something. I don't know, I guess I'm just use to the New York time or something." Jesse felt she started to talk to much so she shut up for a minute to hear the girl talk. Since this girl came over to talk to her, maybe they could get to be friends or something.

{mostly ramble cuz i lost my train of thought!}
"Names Rachel Stone," the senior said in a quick reply, as she stood their for a second looking at the girl. Turning her attention back to the rack of clothes in front of her, she pulled off a pair of jeans and slung them over her arm to try on. Out of the people she had known for years, Rachel was hardly the person you'd expect to go and talk to someone she'd never met. She'd let someone else do the talking.
As Jessie glanced at her watch then back to Rae, with what looked like a confused look on her face, the Stone girl wondered what was wrong. Perhaps she needed to be somewhere else? But her thoughts were confirmed when the sophomore brought up the fact that time seemed to be moving really slow. Technically it wasn't but over these past few weeks, Rachel had felt the same way once or twice. With a laugh, she noded her head, "New Yorks a busy city...Crystal Falls is just your average, everyday small town. Don't expect time to go very fast." Compared to 'The Big Apple,' Crystal Falls didn't have much to offer other than its scenery and friendly residence. Its streets werent constantly being walked on by large groups of people, and Rae couldn't think of one place in CF that would resemble Time Square.

"Nice to meet you Rachel. I see we sort of have the same tastes in clothes" said jesse as she looked at the jeans Rachel had slung over her shoulders. In her mind Jesse figured that Rachel was a cool person, she thought that maybe they could become friends and go shopping together or something.
"Yeah New York is a real busy city, everyone seems to be in a rush everyday and all day. It seems like you can't get all your work done because the day goes by to fast. Anyway I'm kinda glad I moved here, I got tired of that fast pace city life anyway. i just want to be in a small town like this."
(I lost my train of thought also)

"Nice to meet you too," Rachel replied with a smile, shifting the clothes slung over her arm, "I would give anything to get away from Crystal Falls for a while. Going to New York would be great. After living here for eighteen years, you kinda get tired of everything moving so slow." Blah blah blah...Shut up Rach you talk to much she thought to herself as she gave one last smile and sealed her lips shut, looking for a few other things she might like to purchase for herself.

Jesse smiled then said "Yeah New York is a great state but only depending on which city you go to. The best places to visit while your in New York would be ummm.....oh yeah times square, china town, and the village." Jesse heard herself going on and on she just shut her mouth and tried to let other people do the talking for one. Everytime she was around someone she would just run off at the mouth and never know when to shut up until they walked away. She walked up to the register and put her items on the counter then pulled out her credit card.

"Well New York will have to wait," Rachel said with a weak smile, knowing how much she still had to do in Crystal Falls. Coming to amends with her friends, not to mention graduating...That was a definate must. As she said this, she put the last pair of pants on her arm and followed Jesse to the cashier. There was no need to try the jeans on for they were the same style and size as the ones she bought whenever she came to the store. Stepping into line behind the girl she waited to pay for her items.

Jesse grabbed her bags with her clothes in them and turned to Rachel and smiled then said "So I guess i'll see you in school then Rachel, and it was nice meeting you." Jesse started walking towards the door and heading to her car. That was cool of Rachel to speak to her even if they didn't know eachother. To Jesse people in Crystal Falls seemed pretty friendly for the most part.
