It was a cool afternoon in Crystal Falls, Haley was out of class and heading to the courtyard to meet Craig. She strolled across the grass and took a seat on a bench under one of the trees. She opened her bag and pulled out her diary she began to flick through when she felt someone come up behind her.

Craig sat tapping his pencil lightly on the desk, he was in biology and it was a theory lesson. He was more the practical type of guy. He sighed, his eyes fixated on the clock. Waiting, just waiting until the bell would sound indicating the end of his lesson. Also indicating a whloe hour with Haley.
At the sound of the bell, he jumped to his feet and was one of the first out of the classroom. Craig was dressed in dark trousers, trainers and a pink shirt. As they say, only real men wear pink. His hair was it's usual self- scruffy and unstyled. His face was its own brooding self, his trademark look. He dropped his books off in his locker then turned and headed towards the courtyard outside.
It was a warm day, so he didn't bother with a jacket. He walked to the courtyard and instantly picked out the familiar figure of Haley Lovell. Walking up behind her he placed his hands over her eyes.
"Guess who's hot boyfriend just arrived?" He grinned cheekily.

Haley jumped slightly and placed her hands on top of the hands over her eyes, "ooohh is it Brad Pitt?" she asked with a laugh. She span round and smiled when she saw Craig's face "awww even better...hey boyfriend" she said with a grin and gave him a kiss lightly on the lips. "You're late" she said with a pout pretending to be upset. She slid along the bench making room for him to sit beside her.

He dropped his hands to his side and twitched his eyebrow up when she said Brad Pitt, then broke into a smile at her next sentence. Which was good, Brad Pitt was old and short, or was that Tom Cruise? Oh whatever.
"Yea, even better is right missy!" He toyed with her before tasting her lip gloss.
He glanced down at the watch on his wrist and shrugged. He took a seat next to her before replying,
"Im not late, your just very early!" He winked at her playfully. "So Hales, how's your day been?"

Haley smirked at him then as he sat she leant against him, resting her head on his shoulder. "Its been ok I guess better now I get to see you" Haley still had to deal with a lot of the 'popular' people calling her a geek and the added exclusion but she didnt care when she had a great boyfriend and brilliant friends. "How about you...been studying hard?" she laughed she knew Craig wasnt the scholarly type unlike her who seemed to enjoy school...so much she even tutored in her spare time.

Craig knew how Haley felt when his friends, took the 'mick' out of the couple. An unlikely pair really, but as they said... opposites attract. When they first met, it was because one of Craig's friends had hit all fo Haley's books out of her hands. Craig, being the big softie, felt bad and helped her pick them up. They got talking and well it all started from their. The popular Basketball player and the geeky tutor girl.
"Aww, you do make me feel lucky! If anyone's giving you any crap HAles.. tell me I'll set em straight!" He grinned at her, then wrapped his arm around her. "Phhst, Im always studying hard!" He said cheekily. Haley knew him too well although she didn't know he had copied Essie's English essay that morning. That was a secret between Essie and Him.

Haley couldnt help but laugh "Ok my hero" she said with a grin looking up at him and planting another kiss on his lips, she pulled back and licked her lips "lucky I have you" she added as she stared into his eyes.
"So Mr Scott what we doing this weekend I cannot be at home right now my sisters driving me insane and causing even more problems with my folks" she slipped her hand round Craigs waist and held him tight enjoying the warmth and comfort.

His eyes twinkled as they caught the light.
"yeap, Im your knight in shining armour remember? Not your loser in aluminum foil!" He winked at her and kissed her back. "Im lucky to have such a lovely girl like you too!" They locked gaze for a few moments and bystanders would have thought the couple looked so great together.
He couldn't help but chuckle lightly at her question. Thinking for a moment, he looked over the courtyard.
"I dunno, we could hang out with Essie, Seany and Rach? Go to the beach or something? I dunno, your choice."

"Sounds good to me...i'll bring the sunoil!" she added with a smirk before leaning in and rubbing her nose against his in an eskimo kiss. "So how was basketball practice this morning, coach must be riding you hard with the big game coming up?" she reached in her bag and pulled out some mints.

He nodded, Craig tanned pretty easily but he always seemed to have a pair of burnt shoulders by the end of the day. Whilst the rest of him was golden brown - annoying as hell!
"Nice plan girlfriend!" Just hearing the mentioning of his favourite game brought a smile across his once brooding lips. He nodded in agreement.
"Yea, we've got loads of exra practices lined up and all of that. One of the guys was sick, he's working us that damn hard. But I get where he's coming from. This is our best chance we've had in years, he just wants to make the most of it." He smiled at her. "So how's the tutoring going?"

"Well just be careful...can't wear you out too much...." she grinned staring into his eyes. She popped a mint into her mouth and offered him one, "tutoring's ok hard work have this annoying kid who just wont do any work...I dont know what I can do if he wont work hard I cant make him pass"

"Ahh I'll be fine, most of us went through this all last year and I came out of it all fine. Well except i got a cold but that's not too bad now is it?" He smiled at her and took a mint and placed it in her mouth. "Is this a hint Miss.Lovell?" He said reffering to the mints she'd just offered him.
"Uhh, I dunno Im not a tutor! Im sure he'll come around eventually Hales. Your the best tutor I know!" So it was true that AHley was the only tutor Craig knew, he wasn't gonna say anything.

Haley grinned "Craig you know i'd kiss you mint or no mint" she laughed and kissed him again, "oohh minty fresh" she giggled. Haley smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck "thanks baby you always know how to make me feel good" she kissed him again and let her hands fall onto his neck.

He placed his arms around her back as she did round his neck and pulled her closer to him. "Your my favourite girlfriend you know that?" He winked at her playfully.

Haley pulled back and slapped him playfully, "I better be your only girlfriend" she said with a grin before kissing him again. She rested her head on his chest "I love you" she said, it wasnt the first time she'd said it and she meant it just the same.
